Grown Ups are an 8-piece indie rock band from Binghamton, NY, with three full-length studio albums. Parlor City Sound compares them to Sloan, Broken Social Scene, and the Monophonics — “It’s indie rock from the Preservation Hall. It’s wonderfully retro but also perfectly modern. It works in Brooklyn and it works in Toronto, and it hails from a city between them” (M. Terzi, Parlor City Sound, 2024).
Adara Alston refers to them as “…one of the best indie-rock bands in the Southern Tier… ….With propulsive instrumentation and surprisingly catchy melodies, this band leaves an impression with every recording and concert” (Adara Alston, WSKG Expressions S16 E01, 2022).
Grown Ups offer a show that is both entertaining and emotionally resonant. From their high-energy performances of songs like “Drifting” to their heartfelt ballads like “As It Turns to Night,” the show provides a mix of fun and emotional depth that will leave you feeling something.
